 2026 ROSTER:

Megan is newer to MTB after a lifetime on the road but thanks to her teammates, she’s improving!

Megan Hottman: Megan is the Squad Founder and Director, and she is STOKED to call these amazing humans her teammates and friends! The mission of this squad and the reason for its inception is: to bring more women into these sports, (especially cycling, which can seem intimidating and overwhelming to a newcomer)…To let women experiment with events, disciplines, formats, give it all a try, see what fits and what doesn’t, and to enjoy the journey along the way.

We emphasize TRYING THINGS without pressure. Having FUN! We celebrate the journey and the result- both. We try to share our wisdom and experiences along the way to hopefully inspire other ladies to jump in with us. Racing and sport in general, is a microcosm of life: what can we learn during an event that we can apply to our entire lives? That’s the fun part! ;)

Megan comes from over 20 years of bike racing across all disciplines (road, track, CX, MTB, gravel, fat bike), as well as some multi-sport experience in marathons and triathlon, including 3x Ironman AZ Triathlons. She’s an avid e-bike commuter, she’s done some bike packing adventures too, and above all-she hopes to share what she’s learned with her teammates as well as to learn from them in their areas of expertise! We can’t wait to see Emily crush some enduro events in 2025!

Emily Price: Emily is an avid mountain biker who discovered her passion during the pandemic, transitioning from trail running to conquering single track on two wheels. After relocating to Salida, she found a supportive community of inspiring women who encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone and explore Enduro racing.

When she’s not biking, Emily loves adventuring in the mountains, traveling to new destinations, and spending quality time with her beloved fur baby. You can follow Emily on the ‘gram HERE.

Kim shredded it at Xterra Worlds in Italy!

Kim Smith: Hi, I'm Kim Smith! I'm 39, living in the beautiful town of Salida, CO, with my husband and two of our kids (our oldest of our three is off on a college adventure). I wear a few hats: I'm a CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting coach; I have the joy of being the team director & volunteer coach for Salida Racing, our local high school mountain bike team; and, I’m also co-owner of Dark Horse Marketing, a digital marketing agency that specializes in lifestyle hospitality. As a kid, I was a national-level competitive swimmer, and over the years, I’ve dabbled in everything from running and Spartan Obstacle Racing to CrossFit and mountain biking. All of these experiences have helped me discover two of my biggest passions—cycling and Olympic weightlifting. Lifelong athlete that I am, I recently rekindled my love for competitive racing, inspired by coaching the high school team. I’ve also found a new and fun challenge in Xterra off-road triathlons, which led to competing in the USA Championships and even qualifying for Worlds in 2024!

For me, racing isn't about being the best out there—it's about showing up as the best version of yourself, alongside others that are doing the same. I really, really love racing… it’s an absolute blast!

April goes FULL SEND!

April Lee: Mom, Wife, Nurse, MTB coach, Enduro Racer, Nature Lover! When she’s not coaching, free riding, or racing, April is found traveling the world and seeking out new adventures. She is happiest on a saddle, trekking in her worn-out hikers, running 5K's, or in the ocean with a regulator in her mouth.

At home, she will have a book in her hand, a fluffy grey cat on her lap, and a steaming coffee next to her. (Side note, she SENDS IT!).

Roxzanne (Roxy) Feagan started riding recreationally 25+ years ago around her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Within a year or two–after accidentally discovering the local cycling scene and eventually the world of mountain biking–she went all in, first racing cross country on home trails and then traveling out of state to explore all types of terrain and race everything from XC, 12 & 24-hour events, marathon and enduro. A team-sport competitor all her life, racing scratched that itch, but it’s the people, the altruistic ethos and the celebratory vibe of the sport that got in her blood and has never left. The stoke is as high now in her 50s as it was in her 30s!

And she’s not in it alone. She met her husband, Ryan, on a mountain bike trip to Moab, not long into her mountain bike journey. If it included bikes, they were involved. For fifteen years they ran the local mtb race series in Nebraska, as well as a small high school race league. Roxy was president of the local IMBA chapter. They put on skills clinics and hauled friends in their van to races and to places far and wide to do BDRs (big dumb rides). And just before they quit it all to move to Sarasota, Florida, for a career opportunity pre-COVID 2020, they jump-started the bid to form a NICA league in Nebraska, which is happily humming along. Once in the Sunshine State, they joined the Florida NICA crew–Roxy on the Ops team–and for three years helped stoke the next gen of bike racers. Through it all, they never stopped traveling van-life style around the country to race and discover new places to ride. Salida was one of those places and they always hoped that someday…

Someday is here and Roxy, along with her husband, is living the mountain life in Salida. She enjoys big days in the “great wide open” and racing XCM events, which she dominated in 2017, winning her age group (45-49) at USACycling Marathon Nationals in Arkadelphia, Arkansas! These days, she “partic-i-races” in town and around the state. She also volunteers with local and regional bike events, rides gravel and even manages to get down the Crest without crashing. On days she’s not riding, she’s bothering fish on the Ark or creating glass mosaics. And most certainly, scheming about the next big dumb ride.

Amy Baumgartner: Wife, mama, researcher, mountain bike junkie. When a shoulder injury ended Amy's journey as a collegiate pole vaulter, her love affair with biking was born. For almost 20 years, she has been using pedal power as a means for adventure, connection, and impact. Although smitten with her mountain bike, you can also catch her on a gravel grinder or climbing a pass on her road bike. Amy loves everything from enduro, to XC, to ultra endurance. She believes that doing hard things makes us better at doing hard things, that luck favors the prepared, and that 2 wheels take us on the very best adventures.

(Fresh off her amazing 3rd place at the 2025 Vapor Trail, we are SO excited to welcome Amy to the squad!)
